As of January 2007, I'm working on some guitar pedals. Some are sprawling across breadboards, others are at the PCB stage. With a little effort and a lot of luck they'll all be commercial products by the end of 2007.The speaker cabinets are complete except for tolexing. Unless I need to play out with them (not likely) that's a very low priority. Someone emailed about the Carvin/Eminence speakers I used. I bought them for $20 each. That sale price ended long ago. If you're looking for cheap speakers, poke around on AX84.com. There's a reseller their who has some 12" Chinese speakers that are supposed to be great. On the other hand, you could also check out Weber speakers. Those cost a little more, but I've never seen a bad review and you'd be supporting U.S. manufactering.
The drum project has been back-burnered until I can build a controller that's better suited to mesh head drums. I know enough about AVR µControllers to do it, I think, but there's not enough time to get into it. And thanks for the people who've mentioned the eDrum - Trigger MIDI Converter. The problem is that, for whatever reason, Admir doesn't want to make the source code available. Since his box is designed for the Remo style pads, I don't think it would work any better than my Roland PM-16.
